CAD Management/Engineering Technician

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

     

      Mr. Najarro has over 20 years experience in the civil engineering field. He was employed as a draftsman/surveyor rodman by Civil Engineering Consultants in Wheeling, Illinois. Among his duties as a rodman in the field he had to hand-draft the existing conditions of the surveys, as well as the proposed "red sketch" engineer's design. He moved to McClure Engineering Associates as a draftsman where he gained experience in a sanitary, storm and water main project on the Road Rehabilitation Program for the City of Waukegan, Illinois.

      While going to college part-time, Mr. Najarro joined the North Shore Sanitary District where he was a draftsman until he finished his Associate's Degree in 1991, becoming an Engineering Technician and was thereafter involved in a diversity of projects. In 2001, he joined Burke Engineering Group as a part of the Surveying Department, where he gained experience on Microstation® and Geopak® programs as drafting tools.

      Moving to Florida in February 2002, Mr. Najarro joined Source, Inc. as  CAD Manager/Engineering Technician. In this position, he has been involved in the design of major land development and utility infrastructure projects in Southwest Florida. Those projects include design/drafting of water surface management systems, wastewater plant, water treatment plant, water and sewer utility systems, parking lot design and road improvements and additions to the local communities as well as the County.

      Mr. Najarro is responsible for the AutoCAD® drafting of all projects, including all Microsoft Office Programs.

      Mr. Najarro enjoys extensive experience in roadway design, stormwater, water main, wastewater treatment and water supply and planning, and is experienced in all aspects of design. These aspects include setting up the prints required for contracts on preliminary and final design. Mr. Najarro's projects at Source, Inc. have included:

  General road design/drafting

• Stringfellow Road Force Main
  Preparation of site plan, plan and profile sheets for force main extension

• Windjammer Point Subdivision
  Design and preparation of single family plans required for submittal to local governmental agencies

• Crane Landing Golf Community
  Design and preparation of plans for a golf course community

• Dairy Queen, Inc.
  Design and preparations of drawings of Ft. Myers restaurant
