Projects and Experience

Source, Inc. is a medium-sized, multi-disciplined consulting engineering firm founded in Cape Coral, Florida, in 1977.  It provides  professional services in civil engineering, environmental engineering, structural engineering and transportation, marine and utility systems design.  Having worked for many years with local and State permitting agencies, Source, Inc. can pursue a project with certainty and efficiency to ensure timely and economic completion.

Source, Inc. provides several clients with continuing engineering services, including Lee County Utilities, Forest Utilities, Inc., Greater Pine Island Water Association, The City of Ft. Lee County Utilities, Lee County, FL
Source, Inc. is a general services consultant to Lee County Utilities, providing engineering evaluation, design, permitting and services during construction of miscellaneous utility projects. Project assignment have included the following:

  • Waterway Estates Infiltration Inflow Study - North Ft. Myers, FL

  • Waterway Estates Waste Water Treatment Facility Reverse Pumping Station design and permitting - North Ft. Myers, FL

  • Stringfellow Road Force Main design and permitting services during construction - Pine Island, Lee County, FL

  • Pine Island Reclamation Facility operation permitting - Pine Island, Lee County, FL

  • Three Oaks Reuse System evaluation and monitoring reverse sites - South Lee County, FL

  • Pinewoods Membrane Setting Water Treatment Facility design permitting, brackish water wells and concrete deep well injection, pumping and surface facilities - South Lee County, FL

Forest Utilities, Inc., Lee County, FL
As the continuing consultant to this PSC-regulated wastewater utility, Source, Inc. monitors the operation, design, plant compliance and improvements and provides design and permitting services for those improvements.

Greater Pine Island Water Association, Lee County, FL
As the continuing consultant to this water service utility, Source, Inc. provides engineering that includes hydraulic evaluations, design, permitting and services during construction for capital improvement projects. Project assignments have included the following:

  • Concentrate disposal system for the Pine Island Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Facility via deep injection well, design, permitting and services during construction for injection pumping facilities and surface piping.

  • Hydraulic evaluation for new commercial developments along Pine Island Road.

  • Reservoirs and booster pumping station, design, permitting and services during construction to serve the east franchise territory.

City of Ft. Myers, FL
Source, Inc. provided complete design, permitting and services during construction of extensions to the city's wastewater effluent reuse mains along Colonial Boulevard at Interstate 75, Ortiz Road and Ben Pratt-Six Mile Cypress Parkway. The project included 10-inch, 16-inch and 20-inch mains. Significant sections of the pipeline project were constructed using directional bore technology. This project was completed in late 2003.

City of Cape Coral, FL MPS 200 and LS 317 Force Main, Cape Coral, FL
Source, Inc. was a team member for this design-build project in Cape Coral, FL.  The team provided engineering design services and services during construction for this project which is now in service.

Charlotte County Utilities, Charlotte County, FL
Source, Inc. is the engineer of record for design, permitting and services during construction of a design-build project that includes installation of two brackish water wells, pumping facilities and 12-inch & 16-inch raw water transmission mains along Burnt Store Road in South Charlotte County. The new water source will supply 2.0 million gallons per day of feed water to the existing Burnt Store reverse osmosis water treatment facility.

Black Island Force Main, South Lee County, FL
Source, Inc. provided complete project management, design and permitting services which included a sub aqueous crossing of Big Carlos Pass utilizing directional bore technology.  Permitting included obtaining submerged land leases from the State of Florida.

Bermuda Land Development Company, St. David's Southside Wastewater Treatment Facilities, Bermuda
Source, Inc. was the design engineer of record for the 120,000 gpd advanced wastewater treatment plant.  This design-build project was completed in late February 1999.
